It has been quite busy the last couple of weeks getting ready for the shows that I have coming up this winter and I am excited!  You may think that is tongue-in-cheek, but I am serious.  

I have three showings this coming February. The first will be with my gallery in Charleston, the Coco Vivo Gallery on Gallery Row on Broad Street.  Danny Laran, the gallery director, has asked me to come out to be featured on the Art Walk on Feb 7.  So on Friday evening I will be hanging out in Charleston South Carolina drinking wine with good friends, making new ones, and having a blast! 

Then, the following week, I will be setting up for the South Eastern Wildlife Exposition (SEWE) in Charleston.  Now, for those of you out here on the Great Plains, this show is HUGE!  The visitor draw for this show is in the 60 thousand mark over a four day span.  SEWE offers not only displays from the Bush Gardens, talks by Jack Hannah, dock dog competitions, art competitions, sporting workshops, and tons of family activities, but many of the finest wildlife artists in the country, bar-none. I am truly honored to have been invited to show with the caliber of artists that will be showing at SEWE.

So that is my excitement for February, I can't wait!  It is a 1809 mile trip, one way, not including the miles getting lost here and there.  I get to go through Omaha, Kansas City, St Louis, Nashville, Columbia, and lots of others.  One hell of a road trip :)  for the new windshield that I am putting in the pickup.

Introducing my portrait of Little Red Riding Hoot, a little eastern screech owl being taken care of at the Black Hills Raptor Center.  As of the first of 2014 she is the newest addition to my portfolio.   I had a blast sculpting this little piece, it has a ton of personality.  I may have to cast my AP on this piece sooner rather than later.
