This pair of Gambel's Quail are hanging out on a prickly pear cactus with tunas (fruit). I really enjoyed watching and hearing these birds this past winter in Southern Arizona.

'Chickadee Dee" is a pair of Black-capped Chickadees fluffed out to keep warm. I love these little birds and their attitudes around the feeder, always ready to give one more 'dee' in their call.

Sometimes you fall in love with a bird just from a photo. That was me with this Malachite Kingfisher. This little jewel of a bird is found throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. I can't wait to see one in person.

Welcome to my "Moon Shadow", and yes, I was thinking of the song by Cat Stevens while sculpting this piece.  The name just seems so appropriate for a Great Gray Owl. These huge owls are rarely seen, silent hunters of our very northern forests. I have placed her on the top of a beautiful coat rack. I've just finished casting bronze hardware to complete a woodsy feel.

'Barnstormers' has two Barn Swallows caught mid swoop. This common swallow lives most of its life in the air. They are a particularly graceful flier and normally eat insects caught in flight. If I get to be a bird in my next life, I hope that I'll fly like these swallows.

"Gatekeeper" is a bas-relief of a great blue heron larger than life size. It was originally created as the face of an entrance gate for a home in Colorado.  The design of the gate frame and scrollwork that you see here was by Green with all of the blacksmith, Clark Martinek of Mitchell, South Dakota. The wrought iron gate work was a 'one-of-a-kind' for the project. Similar design and wrought iron work is not included in the pricing shown here.

"Be Still My Heart" are an open edition of life size hummingbird sculptures. I present these different sculptures in different presentations. This piece presents the jewel like bird seated on a foxglove stem.

"Be Still My Heart" is a series of jewel like hummingbirds. This group includes presentations on wall plaques and simple bases. This is an open edition with each piece done individually.

"His Majesty" is my depiction of an endangered California Condor. This sculpture shows off both the displeasing features and the regal beauty I find so attractive about this bird.  Makes a wonderful work of art for a desk or mantle.

I'm offering my new Loon sculpture in two patinas. This patina has the bronze show through on the bird were they would be white naturally. Enjoy!

Can you hear the call? This life size Loon is ready to swim into your home and on to a table.  I really enjoyed learning more about this bird and the details of their feather pattern. This version features a patina done with silver nitrate where the bird has white feathers.

This pair of loon chicks are having a great time swimming with "Stillwaters". Little Ripple is making a bigger splash, while Little Wake is calmly swimming along. They are ready to leave Mom and Dad and swim into your home.

Hope is a Butterfly has a leopard gecko gazing up at a Morpho butterfly.

The fastest animal on earth, the Peregrine Falcon has a dive called a stoop that can reach speeds of 200 mph. This dynamic representation shows a flight adjustment just before she stoops on her prey. “Dauntless” depicts a raptor that, although having one of the widest distributions on earth, was almost driven to extinction on our continent. She has been awarded the Jane B. Armstrong Memorial Award in the National Sculpture Society's 88th National Award Exhibition. 

A raven for the great outdoors! Life size bronze raven sitting on a rusted steel post. This one is seven feet tall and currently part of the Tubac Art Center Sculpture Walk. The height could be customized for your location. Do you have a spot for this piece?

Second Position is a graceful half of life size rendition of a Sandhill Crane.  This is a delicate presentation of this beautiful and iconic American bird. 

Steppin' Out is a Chinstrap Penguin sculpted at half life size. This Antarctic resident has that great penguin personality and always seems to be in a great mood even while performing the dangerous chore of bringing food home for the family.

The Bard is a Red Wing Blackbird singing from the top of a set of cattails. This is the quintessential wetlands bird singing with every ounce of his being. This edition of 15 can be cast in either a 2 foot or 6 foot high version as shown in this gallery.

Rites of Spring is a delicate depiction of a pair of Cedar Waxwings. These wonderful little birds and the dogwood flowers are both romantic and charming. I like the presentation and use of negative space. This sculpture is worthy of looking at all the way around.

Reed Dancer, a Least Bittern is the smallest relative of the Great Blue Heron.  I am particularly excited about this piece as it has so many of the attributes that I am looking for from my sculpture. Open up the album and take a look, I think that you will agree.
